Shaykh Ahmad Sukayrij al-Khazraji al-Tijani (God be pleased with him) said:
And verily, the driver of felicity [Sa’iq al-Sa’ada] drives toward this sacred presence whomever is destined to be among its people; and the Divine repeller turns away from it whomever is not numbered among the company of its folk — those regarded with the eye of acceptance by God and His Messenger, in both abodes.
Glad tidings, then, to the one whom the herald of felicity calls — and he answers the call — whom the driver of Divine favor leads — and he yields to that leading — that he may attain through it his ultimate desire. Such a person is among the foremost in good deeds, ascending the ranks of the people of certitude to the loftiest degrees.
For whoever attains true certitude has reached, among the friends of God, the utmost realization. Certitude is both the beginning and the end of proper decorum (adab) for the seekers: its beginning is belief in what the friends of God report, and its end is belief in what God grants them.
Thus, decorum is a circle whose beginning is its end — and none attains what they attain except through courtesy toward the people of perfection. How could it be otherwise, when certitude itself is a form of sainthood, and its possessor suffers no harm, being under the fortress of Divine protection — for he is counted among the company of God’s elect.
